Mindjet Announces Strategic Partnership with MindManuals.com Ltd.: Partnership Releases First Practical Manuals for Visual-Thinking Tools
SAUSALITO, CA--Mindjet LLC, the premier vendor of visual thinking software products for business, announced this week a strategic partnership with MindManuals.com Ltd., a digital publishing company based in the United Kingdom. The partnership immediately announced release of MindManuals guides to help businesses plan effective telecommuting strategies; define, plan and schedule small- to medium-sized IT projects; and produce well-planned and effective presentations.
"More than 110,000 users worldwide use Mindjet's "MindManager" visual software to think more clearly, communicate more effectively, and work more productively," says Mindjet president and co-founder Bettina Jetter. "Many people who could benefit from our software are unable to do so because they are unfamiliar with the concept of visual thinking. Our partnership with MindManuals will expand our user base. These new guides will show people how to use our MindManager software to plan for and accomplish very specific business objectives."
MindManuals.com was founded in 2000 by branding expert, Martin Silcock, and former Mindjet software developer, Nick Duffill. "After interviewing hundreds of potential users, we learned that while many people were intrigued with the idea of using visual thinking tools, fewer of them clearly understood how to apply visual-thinking tools to their own jobs," says co-founder, Nick Duffill.
Duffill says the new company decided to focus its first MindManuals on a few of the common themes that came up in discussions with potential MindManager users. "The three titles released this week are only a beginning," Duffill says. The company will work with leading industry authorities to build a downloadable library that addresses a wide range of business tasks, closing the gap between ideas and action.
One of the new products that focuses on telecommuting, MindManual.com's "Teleworking for Organizations," contains 16 model documents and 17 MindManager visual "maps" to help management and employees discuss and plan teleworking strategies that meet the needs of all stakeholders. The maps contain hot links to books and other online resources for more information on the pros and cons of teleworking. As the product description points out, "It takes only a few moments and little thought to implement an unsuccessful telecommuting plan. To create a successful plan, however, you need commitment and vision. This MindManual helps you capture and communicate both."
"Anyone who has ever tried to use an ordinary outline format to plan a task of any complexity knows how limited that approach is," says Jetter. "Our visual-thinking software enables business leaders and managers to create very robust communications environments. Now, through our collaboration with MindManuals, more users will be able to create customized environments that combine a sophisticated mix of visual, textual, and online content to address defined business objectives."
Headquartered in Sausalito, California and Frankfurt, Germany, Mindjet's mission is to develop and distribute easy-to-use, sophisticated visual-thinking software tools that enhance creativity and productivity in business and education. Mindjet can be found on the Internet at www.mindjet.com.
